ME!
Nesma Zazou is an Egyptian film writer-director with a ten-year experience in media and film industry. She works as a freelance script consultant. Nesma holds her Master degree in Film Directing at Met Film School in London. She wrote and directed 6 short films and 8 short documentaries. Her short film “Sayeda” won the best film award at the national Egyptian film festival 2018. It's selected and screened in the BBC Arabic film festival in London, Cannes short film corner, Clermont Ferrand, Aesthetica Short Film Festival in York and other local and regional festivals.
She was a speaker at the BBC world cultural frontline panel discussion in London in 2018 and in TedX women 2015.
Nesma taught documentary at MSA university in Cairo. She’s a member of the UK initiative, “Inspire Egypt”. She started her career at the age of 17 as a freelance journalist.

She has done script consultancy for 10 short films and a couple of TV series for MBC Studios.

She directed and produced more than a hundred news reports and features, documentaries, music videos and online interviews. She runs workshops in film directing, acting, directing actors and drama therapy.
